March 22, 1964

· The second organizational meeting of the Vernon Township Ambulance Squad #1 was held Sunday, March 22, 1964 at 2PM

· Meeting was presided by Mr. John Leeds.

· Among those present were Mr. Wiliam Thompson of Hamburg - instructor of the Blue Ridge Ambulance Squad, and Mr. Richard John Richards of the Wallkill Valley First Aid Squad, and Mr. Alan Martin president of the newly formed Vernon Township Business Mens Association, and Mr. Charles J. Sammis, Mayor of Vernon Township.

· Also present were Ada Farber, Harry Vance, Joseph Le Donne, Andy Sedlock, Mr. Beach, Parker Adelberg, Mr. and Mrs. John Leeds, Howard McGuire, Kenneth Cleveland, John Reeth, Jr., Frank Altamura, Mr. William Huggett.

· An informed discussion was held in which both Mr. William Thompson and Mr. Richard J. Richards outlined many important steps and gave information of a valuable nature in organizational procedure.

· The following officers were elected to serve:
Captain- Kenneth Cleveland
1st Lieutenant - Mr. John Reeth, Jr.
Treasurer- Mr. Parker Adelbert
Secretary- Mr. Howard McGuire

· A By-Laws Committee was formed consisting of Mr. Alan Martin, Mr. Parker Adelberg, and Mr. Frank Altamura. The latter being named as Chairman.

· Mr. John Leeds, Mr. John Reeth Jr., and Mr. Andy Sedlock were also asked to serve on an Equipment Committee. They agreed and were accepted by those present.

· Mr. John Reeth Jr. was asked to serve on a Fund Raising Committee. He accepted this responsibility. He will appoint any other members which he deems will be helpful to [unreadable] in this endeavor.

· Next meeting to take place Sunday, April 5th, 2PM at the Club House. Mr. Ada Farber of the Vernon Township Fire Department invited the newly elected officers of the Ambulance Squad to attend the next meeting of the Fire Department to take place on the 2nd Thursday of April in an effort to interest additional members in the Ambulance Squad.

· There being no further business at this time, meeting was adjoined.
