ICE Your Cell Phone Now!
ICE
stands for "In Case of Emergency." Paramedics turn
to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's
identity. You can make their job much easier with
a simple idea that everyone should adopt: ICE.
Simply add an entry in the contacts list of your cell
phone titled "ICE," with the name and phone number
of the person that emergency services should call
on your behalf. It only takes a few moments of your
time to set-up, but can save a lot of time when trying
to get in contact with your loved ones quickly.

Heat emergencies
It
is that time of year again where emergencies related
to heat are most abundant. Although heat related problems
can affect any age group, infants and the elderly
are most at risk. One long-standing rule applies:
if it is very hot and humid outside, remain indoors
with air conditioning and maintain proper fluid intake.
Effects from exposure to heat can be evident in some
cases in less than 15 minutes.

our Health & Safety page
for precautionary advice on three common types of
heat emergencies.

Anniversary Picnic Photographs
2004
was the commemoration of forty years of service by
the VTAS. In June 2004, an anniversary picnic was
held at our Highland Lakes building. Photos
from that event are now available.
